Joliet sits southwest of Chicago in Will County, on the common southwest-to-northeast storm track into the metro. It carries a large warehousing and intermodal footprint, which means substantial fleet and trailer-yard exposure alongside the residential claims.
Joliet sits in Illinois, which NOAA ranks among the highest severe-hail states in the country. Activity across the state peaks April through July, averaging 200–350 severe-hail reports per year. Our coverage centers on Chicagoland, the Rockford area, and Central Illinois (Springfield / Peoria), and Joliet is one of the population centers we route crews to first after a catastrophe event.
Chicagoland deployments stage out of the suburbs — we coordinate with dealer groups along I-88 and I-90 for on-lot recovery. Central Illinois events are typically handled out of a Springfield or Peoria staging point. Drop-off windows are set during intake based on where the storm tracked.
