Privacy Policy
What we collect when you ask us for an estimate, what we do with it, and who else touches it.
Effective September 19, 2026
Who this covers
This policy applies to Auto Hail Techs (“we”, “us”), the website at autohailtechs.com, and the lead forms we run on Facebook and Instagram. We are a paintless dent repair shop in San Antonio that also deploys to hail-affected regions — reach us by phone or email using the details at the bottom of this page.
What we collect
Information you give us. Our estimate, booking, deployment and dealer forms ask for some or all of the following. Not every form asks for every item:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your city, state and ZIP code
- The vehicle involved, and for dealers or fleets, your company, your role and the size of the lot or fleet
- Whether you have filed an insurance claim, your insurance carrier and your deductible
- Your preferred appointment date and time
- Anything else you type into the notes or message box
Information collected automatically. When you submit a form we also record how you found us, so we know which of our ads and pages actually help people: the page you first landed on, the page you submitted from, the website that referred you (the domain only), any campaign tags in the link you clicked, and a Google Ads click identifier if you arrived from one of our ads. This is stored in your browser’s session storage for the length of your visit and sent along with your enquiry.
Our forms also include a hidden field that real people never see. If it is filled in, we treat the submission as automated spam and discard it.
Facebook and Instagram lead forms. If you reach us through one of our ads and complete the form inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta gives us the name, phone number and email address on your Meta account along with your answer about your claim status. Meta’s own handling of your data is governed by its privacy policy, not this one.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver’s licence number, bank details or card numbers. Please do not put them in a notes field.
How we use it
- To call, text or email you back about your hail damage and to schedule your inspection
- To carry out the repair, order parts and arrange pickup, drop-off and rental assistance
- To file and support your insurance claim with your carrier, including sending your estimate and supplement
- To honour our lifetime warranty on work we have done, which means keeping a record of your repair
- To understand which ads and pages bring in real customers, so we stop paying for the ones that do not
We contact you because you asked us to. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.
Advertising and cookies
This site loads the Google tag so that Google Ads can tell us when an ad click led to a submitted form. It sets cookies in your browser for that purpose. We use it to count conversions — we do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not run Google Analytics or a Meta pixel on this site.
You can turn off personalised Google advertising at adssettings.google.com, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing either will not stop you from using this site or getting an estimate from us.
How long we keep it
If you become a customer, we keep your repair record for as long as the lifetime warranty on that work could be claimed, and for as long as tax and insurance record-keeping requires. If you enquire and we never do work for you, we keep the enquiry only as long as it is useful for following up. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Your choices
- Ask us what we hold about you, and ask for a copy
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it for a warranty, a claim or the law
- Tell us to stop calling, texting or emailing you — reply STOP to a text, or just tell us
Email or call us using the details below and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law; tell us and we will honour them.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and your submission travels encrypted. The services listed above hold your information under their own security controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not hold payment details or government identifiers, so there is far less to lose here than at a typical body shop.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging vehicle repair. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and move the effective date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
